How many times have you been reading a book and thought, “Wow, that character really needs a hug”? It happens to me all too often. Authors seem to love putting the most loveable characters through the most horrendous backstories or situations in general. Hugs can be used for multiple situations—to show love, to greet, to comfort, or to show excitement. In this article, we’ll be focusing on characters who are in need of some major consolation!
