"Crafternoon" Promotion

This was a sustainable craft event in celebration of Earth Month. As a part of the marketing team for this event, I communicated via email with collaborating organizations and assisted with designing our promotional materials, including the Instagram post and the T.V. promotions for around various buildings on campus. The event gained traction due to our marketing efforts and resulted in over 150 guests in attendance.

After watching one of Netflix's brand anthems titled, "One Story Away", I provided an analysis of the strength of their brand, the emotional connection to their audience, and the anthem's effectiveness overall.

I performed an analysis of the popular social media platform, Instagram. My role was to learn the history and timeline of the platform. I presented on mine and my group's findings, and we used the information to choose the best platforms for our client, The Vaughan Institute of Risk Management and Insurance.

For the client audit of the Vaughan Institute, my group conducted research on the Tippie College of Business* versus competitors' brand and social media presence. Based on our findings, I suggested three ways to improve the Vaughan Institute's social media presence.

* The Vaughan Institute had a limited social media presence, so we used the overarching Tippie College of Business to conduct the comparison.

During spring of 2024, I was responsible for conducting research and creating a social media marketing plan for The Vaughan Institute of Risk Management and Insurance through the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa. In my group, I was responsible for creating and presenting on the editorial and content calendars.

The Executive Summary is an accumulation of research and big ideas for the Vaughan Institute to create an engaging social media and brand presence with the goal of increasing enrollment in the program and awareness of the institute throughout the country. I created the metaphor between a house and social media, showing how important it is for the Vaughan Institute to be consistent, engaging and creative with variety to build a strong community.
